Falling Water, Comfort Texas
Originally owned by a slave trader who fled the country in the 1850’s whereby his property was seized by the State of Texas. In 1856 Herman & Emma Stieler purchased 8200 acres of the eventual 15000 acre working ranch they called the Stieler Ranch. The Stielers divided the ranch between their 3 sons over time. Walter Stieler became the owner of the section that would eventually become Falling Water. The original ranch home built by Walter & Hedwig Stieler still exists and is owned by one of the residents of Falling Water.
